The name Hirschhausen traces to a place in the forest where the vocation of a Forstwirt is the family lineage — a forest worker who cut paths through thick timber prior to setting sail in 1853 from Germany to Australia. A grandfather who worked wood by trade. I now have a love for Jarrah on the Indian Ocean coast, 170 years later.
